Spring Plungers lighting application

Commercial Lighting

Used to simplify mounting & servicing of recessed light fittings, Spring Plunger 32300 was included in the design to provide positive locking of the light fitting. The push fit design greatly reduced assembly time, installation and servicing. All adding to a great cost saving!

Spring Plungers medical application

Medical Applications

Used in conjunction with a simple hinge, Wixroyd plunger 32300.W0206 is used to provide secure locking of panels on a blood gas analysis machine providing easy access for maintenance and repair.

Were often asked how many repetitions our spring plungers last for? We can provide the following guidance:

Spring cycles

If 100% or the full stroke of the spring is used, up to 300,000 spring cycles is guaranteed.
If 65% of the spring stroke is used, up to 10,000,000 cycles is guaranteed.

All our metric threaded spring plungers have a coarse thread.

Spring Plungers

Spring Plunger with Pin

Sizes M3 to M24 available, with either hexagon or slotted ends for easy assembly. The popular 3220 has a standard pin, with a slot at the head of the plunger to allow assembly into blink holes, through use of a special screw driver.

Spring Plunger with Ball

Uniquely available in sizes M2 to M24! Models are available in both Normal and Increased Spring Loads to best suit your application. Produce in free cutting steel, AISI303 stainless steel as well as the hard wearing plastic Delrin.

Smooth Body Spring Plunger

For quick and easy component assembly, Wixroyd's smooth bodied spring plungers are the ones to select. Press fitted into any typical hole with tolerance of H7. Full stainless steel, full Delrin as well as brass bodied models are available from 4 mm to 12 mm.

Imperial Spring Plungers

Sourcing imperial spring plungers just got a whole lot easier! Pin and Ball type imperial plungers are available in UNC/UNF threads 4-48 to 5/8-11. We can also offer a wider range of spring strengths with Light, Standard or Heavy spring loads.

Spring Bodies

Designing in confined spaces but no room for a full spring plunger? Wixroyd's range of Spring Bodies provide the solution, a range of simple springs with either round or tipped heads - small enough to fit the application, reliable enough to do the job.

Double Ended Spring Plungers

Our Double Ended Spring Plunger is ideal for axial location as well as securing bolts or levers. They can be incorporated into a design to conduct low voltage electricity, for signal boards, switches etc. Available from 2.5mm to 8mm dia.

Extended Stroke Spring Plungers

Plastic injection moulds require the easy and consistent ejection of parts. Wixroyd Long Version plungers offer longer pin strokes under higher spring forces. Designed to be assembled either from the rear or into blind holes they are available in sizes M10 to M24.

Plunger Holders and Strike Bushes

At high levels of repetition some materials can start to wear. In these instances we can offer a hardened steel strike bush with high wear resistance. Particularly useful with spring plungers of increased spring load. Our spring plunger holder simplifies the assembly.
